- Aurora, Colorado shooting suspect saw multiple doctors: CBS News reports shooting suspect James Holmes met with three mental health professionals before the massacre that killed 12 and injured nearly five dozen more. (CBS News)
- Phone hacking victims to be named: The identities of hundreds of phone hacking victims will be made public for the first time, most allegedly targeted by the now-defunct News of the World tabloid publication. (The Independent)
- Paralympic competitors head for London: Heathrow Airport is expected to have its busiest day this year as hundreds of competitors in the Paralympic Games fly in on Wednesday ahead of the games. (Sky News)
- Tasmanian government seeks to ban cigarette sales: If passed, the ban would prohibit tobacco sales to people born after the year 2000. (ABC News Australia)
- Court: Texas can sever Planned Parenthood funding: The appellate court found the state can cut off funding for the clinics that provide health services to low-income women. (Associated Press/USA Today)
