I’m thrilled Adele only cares about one kind of scale. THIS is what a great role model like. And she’s in good company, too!

This Kid Just Died. What He Left Behind Is Wondtacular.
Zach Sobiech, at the age of 14, found out he had a rare form of terminal cancer. So he became a rock star, and millions of people got to see his music before he passed away on May 20, 2013. This is his beautiful story.
From Adam, our curator: You never know what to expect until you lose someone dear to your heart this way. I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer far too early. If you wouldn’t mind sharing this so more people hear Zach’s story, I’d love it. His family has requested that anyone who is interested in helping change the fate for future children like Zach donate to the research fund set up on his behalf.

Astronaut Performs David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” While Floating in Space
Before he returns to Earth after five months aboard the International Space Station, Commander Chris Hadfield recorded this amazing cover of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity.”
This isn’t Hadfield’s first foray into the world of YouTube. During his time in space he picked up quite the following here on Earth with his videos explaining what it’s like living for an extended period in space.
Ed note: We think this video should play on a loop in the National Air and Space Museum. What do you think of Hadfield’s cover?

This Girl Lost Her Mom, Her Grandma, And Her Hearing. So Why Is This Rock Band Playing Her A Song?
Diana Blanco, 17, is hearing impaired, lost her mother, her grandmother, and her grandfather in a raid on an Arizona shoe factory. They were charged with felonies simply for working under the radar, leaving Diana and her younger sisters to fend for themselves. This band happened to have people who knew how to sign. So they sang her a lovely song to help inspire her to keep fighting for real immigration reform.
